The cost effective link monitor and alert notification
system - LinkAlertPC (LAPC) can monitor basic TCP/IP, Internet HTTP
based servers/pages/urls, Email, FTP, LAN connections, Printers,
Services, Stocks and Local devices.
Links that fail or become unavailable trigger an alert which generates
one or more notifications.
LAPC offers several forms of alert notification - Dialogs, Sound, Email,
Custom Logging, Phone and Application execution.
Features:
Link types - Disk, Email, File, Folder, TCP/IP, Ftp, Http, Https,
Printer, Service, Stock - include UNC (Universal Naming Code) and user
authentication support:
Actions - Status, Free Space, Open Read/Write, Connection, Ping,
Loopback, File Send/Recv/Content - are interval (frequency) driven,
time-out based and include Retry/Recall support.
Alerts are Bi-state and available On Fail and/or Reset. Types include
'Application' (invokes a user selected program), 'Audio' (plays a user
selected sound file), 'Email' (sends user message),
'Log file' (custom log relating to a specific link), 'Phone' (dispatches
prerecorded wav formatted messages) and 'Visual' (popup title and
message based dialog).
Logs and Reports track and record all events relating to each link.
Support is provided for both regular stream based ASCII (CR/LF)
terminated text and Excel compatible CSV formats. In addition MTBF (Mean
Time Between Failures) per link is available as is full alert tracking.
A friendly interface consisting of standard MS windows and controls
renders links easy to configure and maintain. Tools include Drive
Mapping/Unmapping, SNTP Time synchronization, Printer configuration, IP
Host resolution, Trace Route, Service viewer and Stock Watch. Extensive
event control includes Start, Stop and Resume monitoring of one or all
links. A Test facility allows discovery and error correction prior to
implementation.
